Whatever you changed in the recipe, you didn't change about the connecting of food and people. Thanks so much for this grandfather story Fanny. When I recieved my copy of this book, I couldn't stop thinking "about my best friends". It seems such a simple phrase but is so much richer than those four words.
Lovely recipe!

Fanny,

I love this story. It was really sweet and made me think of the stories I've heard of my great-great grandfather from Poland. His passport said he was "un charcuterie," so I know he was also involved with food. He has always been described to me as a great big yet kind man, but I love the term "une force tranquille" as a way to describe him.

Thank you for sharing the story and the recipe!

What a darling story! Love it. And enjoyed hearing a bit more about the book. Guess I'm going to have to order it. Since I love sangria, and peach bellinis, I think I'll have to try making this peach treat. Thanks for sharing.

C'est toujours émouvant de découvrir la vie de ses ancêtres (récemment, j'ai appris un tas de choses lors d'un repas de famille, et ça m'a fait vraiment touchée).
Cette recette est sublime, il faut absolument que je l'essaie.
